Take the whole plate, the brand on the bezel, and the hallway around it. A photo is faster than a guess. Reactivation is often faster than a full replace. South Lubbock and Southwest Lubbock resales
79423 and 79424 leftover keypads show up after 82nd Street closings. Some are ADT-capable. Some are builder leftovers from a national production pad. Photograph yours. What to photograph
- The whole keypad, including the brand on the bezel
- The hallway or garage wall so we see how it is mounted
- Any communicator box nearby — often a small plastic housing
- The front door and the garage walk-through, because those are the openings we will count
Do not unscrew it first. A hole in the drywall is slower than a photo. If a painter already pulled it, photograph the hole and any leftover wires. We can still quote a replace.
Reactivate versus replace
Reactivation is often faster on a Tech Terrace or Heart of Lubbock resale when the leftover is a panel SafeStreets can use. Replace is the usual path on a builder leftover in Vintage Township or a Lubbock-Cooper new-build. The specialist will say which after seeing the photo. Do not assume the cheaper path.
