Lubbock vs Wolfforth alarm permits: City of Lubbock waits on false alarms, Wolfforth wants $50 at install
Alarm paperwork in this metro is not one form. The City of Lubbock and the City of Wolfforth run different desks. Home Security Systems Lubbock names the office from your ZIP on (806) 779-6009. SafeStreets installs. ADT monitors 24/7. This site is not ADT corporate. We do not invent a residential permit dollar for a hall we have not confirmed.
Inside the City of Lubbock, Ordinance 2001-O0087 (Chapter 8 Article 11) does not require every house to register on install day. A permit is required after three false burglary alarms or one false robbery alarm in a calendar year. When a permit is required, the application is $50, or $25 if the homeowner is 65 or older. LPD Alarm Permits is at (806) 775-3041, 1205 15th Street, P.O. Box 2000, Lubbock, TX 79457.
City of Lubbock: permit after false alarms, not automatically at install
City Council reverted to Ordinance 2001-O0087 on October 28, 2025 after repealing a short-lived 2025 update that had tried to require a permit on every system. The live rule is the 2001 ordinance. Do not quote the repealed October 2025 letters as current law. Confirm at (806) 775-3041.
False-alarm fines on the city page: $50 for more than five false burglary alarms, $100 for more than two false robbery alarms. Permit renewal is required if one false alarm occurs during the permit year (Sec. 8.11.052). If no false alarms occur, the city says you are not required to renew that next year. We name the office. You confirm current status. Citations go to Lubbock Municipal Court, (806) 775-2473.
Wolfforth: $50 at install
Wolfforth Ordinance 4.07 specifies that any person or business is required to obtain an alarm permit upon installation of an alarm system. A non-refundable $50 fee is charged for processing. The permit is non-transferable. Get it at Wolfforth Police Department, 302 Main Street. We do not invent a Wolfforth false-alarm ladder. Confirm current status at that desk.
Frenship calendars empty Wolfforth houses the same way Lubbock ISD empties in-city houses. The monitoring product is the same. The paper is not. Name Wolfforth on the call so we do not quote LPD by default.
Slaton, Shallowater, Idalou, Ransom Canyon, Levelland
Those desks confirm from the ZIP. We do not invent a residential permit dollar. Same professionally installed system. Different clerk. Say the city on the call. Slaton, Shallowater, and Ransom Canyon are the community pages.
The four ADT prices do not change with the desk
Secure $49.99 / Secure+ $53.99 / Smart $60.99 / Complete $64.99, $99 install on many plans. The city permit is a separate bill. Call (806) 779-6009 with the ZIP. How much ADT is in Lubbock is the package math.
